Marvel fans love their crossover theories, and while some might be a little bit of a stretch, this latest one seems like a perfect way to highlight the confusion felt about the now Disney-owned Fox, as well as all the characters that got transferred in the purchase.

Express reports that Reddit user jackramz has come up with the perfect crossover idea between Doctor Strange (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) and Deadpool (played by Ryan Reynolds). He explains in his theory:

“I think the post-credits of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be Doctor Strange closing up how he gets through the multiverse or something like that. However, before the portal or whatever closes, Wade Wilson[’s] Deadpool comes through and is happy he escaped the Fox universe. And he makes a bunch of references to the Fox-Disney merger and all the things he wants to do and Doctor Strange is so confused.”

It was announced at San Diego Comic-Con this year that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will debut May 2021. As we know, Deadpool is one of the only characters who is completely self-aware, often breaking the fourth wall and talking serious smack about Hollywood. Given this, the Redditor's idea would kind of fit perfectly, if Marvel is ready to introduce Deadpool in Phase 4.

Bringing the two together through the multiverse, even just for a post-credits scene, would be a perfect way to ceremoniously bridge the gap between Fox and Disney.

But will Marvel Studios bite at the idea? Only time will tell!
