Since Marvel Studios announced that they were adding a She-Hulk series to their universe via Disney+, fans have been busy nominating actors for the character. Though Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Stephanie Beatriz has been at the top of many fans’ lists, the role of Jennifer Walters is still very much up for grabs. But now, Bruce Banner actor and beloved MCU family member, Mark Ruffalo, is putting his two cents into the discussion.

ComicBook.com reports that the Hulk star recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight, and was asked who he thinks would be the best actor for the role of Banner’s cousin. Ruffalo revealed, "I mean, Tessa Thompson's already Valkyrie but she'd be a great She-Hulk."

Thompson and Ruffalo first worked together in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok back in 2017, and reunited this year for Avengers: Endgame. Since her debut, Thompson has been a fan-favorite as the hilarious, take-no-flack counterpart to Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.

Though there is little to no chance that Thompson would switch characters within the MCU (especially now that she is King of New Asgard), there is no doubt she would crush the role (pun intended). As ComicBook.com points out, She-Hulk’s stories tend to lean more towards humor, whereas Hulk’s stories are usually about destruction. Thompson’s comedic presence paired with Rick and Morty’s Jessica Gao, who is spearheading the series, would be a phenomenal hit.

It probably won’t be Thompson, but I’m sure whoever Marvel picks to play Walters will be smashing.
