Only a week after losing her mother Angie Douthit to cancer, Teen Mom OG star Mackenzie McKee has taken to Twitter to share a screenshot of one of the last text conversations between the two of them in the days leading up to her death.

PopCulture.com reports that the 25-year-old TV personality started the conversation with Douthit saying, “You shouldn’t have went to work today,” to which her mom responded, “I agree! The day[']s almost over now though.”

Mackenzie, clearly worried, texted, “Are you ok? Are you going to be ok?” Douthit encouraged her daughter by replying, “Your dad told me he had a strange feeling I was gonna be ok.” When the reality star responded with, “Satan really did some damage this year,” the always-positive Douthit disagreed, writing, “No he didn’t I’m an overcomer.”

Along with a photo of the conversation, the MTV star added the caption, “A convo with my mom days before she went to be with Jesus. She was in so much pain and I would have never know. She never complained and always had hope. You ARE an overcomer momma.”

Mackenzie has been met with an outpouring of love and support from fans and followers, many of whom are sharing similar stories of loss. One user posted, “I lost my mother to cancer about 8 months ago. She NEVER let us see the pain she was in. I believe your mother's strength will persevere within you during these hard times. Prayers and love sent to you and your family.”

Even in death, Douthit’s strength is bringing people together.
