Luann de Lesseps is so synonymous with Real Housewives of New York City, it’s easy to forget that she’s got some other tricks up her sleeve as well. In fact, Luann has gone on quite the professional journey, from nurse to model, to Bravo celebrity and author.

Before Luann’s life was all glitz and glamor, she was a licensed practical nurse who worked with the elderly. She was soon swept into the limelight, walking international runways as a model for Wilhelmina, and ultimately marrying the French entrepreneur and count Alexandre de Lesseps, in 1993. The couple divorced in 2009, but by that time Luann had joined the cast of RHONY and was on her way to becoming a household name.
Apart from being a major star on Bravo, Luann has made appearances in Law and Order SVU and the TV movie Maternal Secrets. She also published a book, Class With the Countess: How to Live with Elegance and Flair, and released several singles, including “Money Can’t Buy You Class.”
While Luann's dream of appearing in Chicago on Broadway never came true, she is touring her own autobiographical cabaret.
