Lionel Richie Reportedly Still Isn't Totally Okay With Sofia Richie and Scott Disick's Age Difference

Though Scott Disick and Sofia Richie have been going strong since 2017, Sofia’s dad, musical legend Lionel Richie, apparently still isn’t totally cool with his baby girl dating someone 15 years older than her.

E! News reports that Sofia and the Flip it Like Disick star spent Thanksgiving with the iconic singer. They all reportedly took Lionel’s private jet for their holiday destination, and got along famously. However, sources tell them that, “Lionel has accepted their relationship but still isn't entirely 100 percent on board with Scott mostly because of the age difference and how young Sofia is.”

The “Hello” singer has always been open with his reservations about Scott, 36, and his 21-year-old daughter. When the couple first got together, he told Australia's Daily Telegraph (per E! News), “[Sofia’s] 19. When you're 19 you know everything. Is it going to be for life? I don't know. But for right now it's just a phase and I'm going to stand real still in the corner, get me a good drink and not make too much noise.”

Since then, the Grammy-winning artist has been trying to keep an open mind. An insider close to the family told the publication that, while Lionel is still unsure of the relationship, he can tell that Sofia is very happy and clearly “infatuated” with the reality star, who shares three children with his ex, Kourtney Kardashian.

It's nice to see Lionel is finally on board, but it looks like Scott still has his work cut out for him.
