Leah McSweeney made her Real Housewives of New York City debut in 2020, but she obviously knew how to stir up drama long before that. Back in 2017, the Married to the Mob founder started major beef with Saturday Night Live cast member Michael Che.

Around 2016, Leah and Michael met on a dating app and began texting back and forth. Apparently Leah didn’t like the treatment she got from Michael, and she used her podcast, Improper Etiquette, to accuse him of texting her “like I’m a stupid bitch” and of being “just a f**king dork.”

“Michael Che is so arrogant and rude and disrespectful,” she said. “He kept just texting me, going, ‘I’m fat. Does that turn you on?’”

Harsh, but screenshots from Michael and Leah's text exchange, leaked to Page Six, show a different side of the story. The pair started out by having a friendly conversation about the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan, famous for its many restaurants. Michael does talk about food and his weight in the texts, and also asks if his physique is a turn-on. At first, Leah seems to take it as a joke.

At a certain point the relationship turns sour, and Michael doesn't respond to a few of Leah's texts. Eventually, Leah writes, “U hate me cus I’m white. Our conversations r everything to me btw. We have a lot of friends in common and if anyone of them saw this I would be so ashamed.”

The messages end when Leah asks Michael if he ever wants to meet up. He turns her down, saying he finds her texts "strange."

After the leaked texts, Leah continued to stand by her story. In an interview with Jezebel, she accused Michael of sharing the messages with Page Six in the first place. “To me, him putting every single text message that went on between us, sending that to Page Six, is the corniest move I’ve ever seen anybody do in my life,” she told the website. “And it just reaffirms that fact that he’s a terrible person, obviously.”

Clearly, Leah and Michael aren't going to be friends any time soon. Still, there's one positive thing we can take away from this: Leah is 100% Real Housewives material.
