Kit Harington was spotted taking a relaxing stroll in the small town of Madison, Connecticut near the wellness and rehabilitation center he checked himself into nearly a month ago.

Reports claim that Harington checked himself into the facility a few weeks before the final episode of Game of Thrones was released on May 19. It's believed his wife and former on-screen love interest on Thrones, Rose Leslie, encouraged Harington to seek help. The actor has reportedly been very stressed and had been abusing alcohol as a coping mechanism.

A supposed friend of Harington told Page Six that he had been struggling with the ending of the show, saying that he realized, "'This is it — this is the end’, it was something they had all worked so hard on for so many years. He had a moment of, what next?”

A representative for the 32-year-old British actor confirmed his treatment in a statement saying, “Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.”

Harington has been very open about his feelings regarding the end of Game of Thrones. In an interview on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, he stated, “I was very shocked and surprised at certain events, and then I blubbed my eyes out. I cried.”

Harington also shared earlier this year in an interview with Variety that he has struggled throughout the duration of the show with mental health issues, especially around the sixth season when the show became more focused on Harington’s character, Jon Snow. He said:

"It wasn’t a very good time in my life. I felt I had to feel that I was the most fortunate person in the world, when actually, I felt very vulnerable. I had a shaky time in my life around there — like I think a lot of people do in their 20's. That was a time when I started therapy, and started talking to people. I had felt very unsafe, and I wasn’t talking to anyone. I had to feel very grateful for what I have, but I felt incredibly concerned about whether I could even f—ing act.”

Though Harington has struggled with his mental health, and with the immense pressure that comes with the cult following of the show, it seems that the wellness center is lifting his spirits. An eyewitness who has seen Harington around town told E! News that he "seemed relaxed, just like a normal guy but was very friendly and nice." She added, "He mostly kept to himself but talked to a few of the staffers who were fans of the show. He asked them if they were going to watch the finale later that night. He told them he was in town for a 'short holiday' but didn't elaborate."

The Page Six insider explained that the wellness center focuses on “psychological coaching, practicing mindful meditation, and cognitive behavioral therapy to combat stress and deal with negative emotions." Whatever Harington is doing, it looks like it is working!
