Kit Harington has checked himself into a luxury rehabilitation center in Connecticut apparently at the encouragement of his wife, Rose Leslie.

Us Weekly reported from an inside source that, “Kit went to treatment for Rose…He was living a very unhealthy lifestyle. He was stressed all the time and using unhealthy coping tools.”

Harington has reportedly been taking the end of Game of Thrones very hard. In a recently shared clip from the HBO documentary Game of Thrones: The Last Watch, Harington is seen becoming very emotional at the final table reading when he discovers that he will be the one to kill Emilia Clarke’s character, Daenerys Targaryen.

Harington told GQ Australia in January that filming the final season of the HBO hit was “designed to break” the cast. He said at the time, "Everyone was broken at the end. I don’t know if we were crying because we were sad it was ending or if we were crying because it was so f—ing tiring. We were sleep deprived."

Though the British actor said that he had "had enough" of the series, he also stated that playing Jon Snow was the best thing that has happened to him, especially because it brought Leslie into his life. "I thank the show for everything…but more than anything else, I thank it for introducing me to her," he shared.

Leslie and Harington, both 32, met on the set of Game of Thrones. They played on-screen lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte, and extended their romance off-screen, dating for six years and then marrying in Scotland in June of 2018. The wedding was a star-studded event that included the Game of Thrones cast, and left die-hard fans swooning.

Harington checked himself into the facility weeks prior to the season finale, which aired May 19, with the support of Leslie. The Us Weekly insider said that the Good Fight actress is "so supportive of" Harington, and that, "[She] loves him very much…She had been telling him to get into treatment for a little while now."

Harington’s representatives released in a statement on May 28, saying that, "Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues."

It has not been released how long Harington plans on staying in the facility, but it seems evident that Leslie will be by his side for the duration of his treatment.
