Kendall Jenner's Proactiv Partnership Sparks Outrage After Promising 'Brave Announcement'

People are really mad at Kendall Jenner right now, but not for any insensitive comments this time.

The “brave and vulnerable announcement” Kendall promised earlier this week turned out to be her new partnership with Proactiv. A commercial, which announced the partnership, premiered during E!'s red carpet coverage of the 2019 Golden Globes on Sunday night.

"I'm so proud of my darling @KendallJenner for being so brave and vulnerable," Kris Jenner tweeted on Saturday, ahead of the reveal. "Seeing you share her most raw story in order to make a positive impact for so many people and help foster a positive dialogue is a testament to the incredible woman you've become."

In the Proactiv commercial, Jenner recounts her experience at the Golden Globes last year. After feeling great about herself, the model was ripped apart online for having acne.

Kendall describes the powerful story of why she wanted to partner with Proactiv, which makes a lot of sense and is actually inspiring for a lot of young people who suffer from acne.

But with the intense hype around the "brave announcement," Twitter users were highly disappointed when it turned out to be just another brand partnership. They didn't hold back on their feelings about the matter on social media.

Most fans saw this as just another example of how out of touch the Kardashians are with the rest of society.

Others brought up how Kris probably just saw this as another marketing opportunity.

And some are even making hilarious jokes about the whole ordeal.

There were a rare few Twitter users that came to Kendall's defense, however.

Kendall, next time you have a big announcement, maybe keep Mom off Twitter! It didn't need all this hype.
