Season 12 of Real Housewives of Atlanta opened up with major news from all of the ladies, and a lot of it revolved around babies. As star Kandi Burruss was shown preparing for the birth of her child via surrogate, she also revealed some upsetting news. She and Todd Tucker were originally expecting twins, but one of the embryos was ultimately lost. "I was sad at first, but then I just had to be grateful that the one made it," she explained in the premiere.

We're expecting big things from Kandi this season, and if you're looking to learn more about the reality TV star, we've got you.

Kandi Burruss Husband

After dating for about two years, Kandi announced in 2013 that she and former RHOA producer Todd Tucker were engaged. The two got married in April 2014, which was televised for the Bravo spinoff special titled Kandi's Wedding. They are still happily married today and we'll continue to follow their relationship this season.

Kandi Burruss Kids

Before dating Todd, Kandi had a child with ex-boyfriend Russell Spencer, a daughter named Riley Burruss who is now 17 years old. Kandi also has a three-year-old son with Todd named Ace Wells Tucker. Currently, the couple is expecting a baby via surrogate, a decision that was made due to Kandi's difficult pregnancy with her son. She explained to The Daily Dish in April:

"It was a blessing we was able to get Ace through IVF, but in the process of doing IVF, we still have two more embryos. And with that being said, as soon as we had Ace, we knew that we would want to possibly use our other embryos, but I had a high-risk pregnancy last time, so that's why we decided we would consider surrogacy."
