It is that magical time of year again, when proud nerds and super-fans from all over the world flock to the beautiful San Diego for Comic-Con. And there was no event bigger at the convention this year than that of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Hall H Panel, held on Saturday, July 20.

And the panel didn’t disappoint. In addition to some incredibly major movie and TV announcements, new actors joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe were revealed as well, including David Harbour and his role in the upcoming Black Widow.

According to the Comicbook.com, Harbour is playing Alexei Shostakov, also known as the Red Guardian, who appeared for the first time in The Avengers #43 (1967).

Beyond the excitement of knowing which comic book character Harbour is taking on, many Stranger Things fans online are freaking out over one minor detail: The name Alexei is also the name of the fan-favorite character from the Netflix original's recent third season--someone who Harbour's Jim Hopper often hilariously sparred with. We won't drop any Stranger Things spoilers, but if you saw the third season, you'll know why this is making fans emotional.

We can’t wait to see what director Cate Shortland, and the incredible cast, do with Black Widow, set to release May 1, 2020.
