Prince William paid a visit today to the Albert Kennedy Trust, a UK charity in London that cares for homeless LGBTQ youth. The Duke of Cambridge spoke about issues affecting LGBTQ youth in the area. And while visiting, someone in the audience asked him how he'd feel if one of his children came out as gay.

His answer was, "Obviously, absolutely fine by me."

But the future King of England explained that he would be nervous too. Should George, Charlotte or Louis come out publicly, Prince William said he'd worry about what they'd potentially have to deal with: discrimination, hate, bigotry.

"The one thing I’d be worried about is how they, particularly the roles my children fill, is how that is going to be interpreted and seen," Prince William added. "So Catherine and I have been doing a lot of talking about it to make sure they were prepared."

The Duke of Cambridge rightly pointed out that his children are in the public eye and being Royals, they're more likely to live under scrutiny and criticism.

Prince William addressed he "pressures" that his children would face, the "barriers, hateful words and discrimination" that they would have to deal with, like any concerned parent. But he rightly concluded on the topic of making the world a safer place for LGBTQ individuals, so that these barriers get eradicated.

William's public support of centers like the Albert Kennedy Trust is already a move in the right direction, and he proves that the family stands behind the LGBTQ community.
