'Game of Thrones' Theory Argues Bran Warged Into Drogon in Latest Episode [SPOILERS]

This story includes spoilers for 'Game of Thrones' Season 8, Episode 5, "The Bells."

With all the madness going on in Game of Thrones' newest episode, "The Bells," some diehard Khaleesi fans have been quick to point the blame on anyone but Daenerys Targaryen. In fact, one theory argues she had little to do with the episode's massacre, and that there's only one person who could've been the cause of all the destruction: Bran Stark.

"The Bells" saw the complete destruction of King's Landing at the hands of Daenerys and Drogon torching the entire city. But what may have looked like a moment of madness, could have been something else, as one fan on Reddit pointed out.

Redditor MustRememberAct is arguing that Bran willingly warged into Drogon and caused the decimation of King's Landing. Daenerys actually didn't go mad, according to the theory, it was all just Drogon being controlled by Bran.

Many on Reddit have speculated for a while that Bran would be the cause of destruction in the final episodes. With all of his Three-Eyed Raven abilities, especially warging and going back in time, it wouldn't be too hard to believe he was responsible for the massacre, either accidentally or on purpose.

The Redditor claims it was all foreshadowed when Bran had the vision about a dragon's shadow flying over King's Landing in Season 4's Episode 2, "The Lion and the Rose."

"Every event that he has manipulated has led to this: the burning of King's Landing," the user explains. "The moment before Drogon goes mad we see the same scene of his shadow over [King's Landing] that has played so frequently in Bran's visions. Jojen told him this would end with fire."

Ultimately the user argues that if this theory is true, it would have fooled everyone, a move they're deeming "one last grand deception." Whether or not this theory turns out true, we're hoping there's at least one more twist in the show's finale.
