Over the course of Game of Thrones’ eight-year run, its stars naturally became rather close. In fact, that closeness extended even to cast members who didn’t appear for very long--including Season 1 star Jason Momoa, who just reunited with co-star Emilia Clarke.

The reunion, according to DigitalSpy, occurred at a surprise party for Momoa’s 40th birthday party, with Clarke squeezing Momoa closely for a photo op and also posing for a shot in Momoa’s large bath. “With you I feel 2 feet small. X 2  @prideofgypsies HAPPY FREAKING BIRTHDAY BABY! An oversized bath tub of happiness for another year of you,” the actress captioned the post.

Clarke also appears in the video of the event that Momoa posted--alongside a number of other friends and a Guinness-themed birthday cake.

Momoa has been candid about his closeness with his former Game of Thrones castmates, particularly Clarke, paying visits to the set of Season 8 and sharing supportive comments following the series’ controversial conclusion.

As for us, we’re glad that Momoa and Clarke have remained such close friends--their chemistry clearly exists off camera just as much as it did on camera.
