Unfortunately, the most recent Game of Thrones episode, "The Bells," scored a series low rating of 49% on Rotten Tomatoes. This only echoes fans' opinions on the final season, which has been extremely divisive. Many fans are finding every twist to be predictable or just underwhelming, the plot holes to be abundant, and the scenes very rushed. But one Thrones star has responded to fan backlash over the newest episode with a very logical explanation.

Pilou Asbæk, who played Euron Greyjoy, has responded to fans being on the fence about "The Bells," stating that he thinks it's a good thing.

"The diversity of the fans and the passion they bring to the table is admirable, and you want to have all of it," he told The Wrap. "You want to have the ones that go, 'This is the greatest show ever made,' and you wanna have the people that go, 'I hate this show. I've always hated it. I want the books now.'

Asbæk explained that, "You cannot satisfy one billion people, it's not possible." He continued with:

"And I welcome everyone – people I agree with or people I disagree with. And I have on social media been discussing Game of Thrones with fans and I will continue to do that, because you owe the fans information and they need a place where they can ask questions about what they like or dislike and it's totally cool, it's passionate. And you've gotta love that.

Game of Thrones has taught us to expect the unexpected over the years, which seems to be why fans are disappointed with this season. But as the last episode ever premieres this Sunday, all we can say is that we hope it delivers.
