It seems that the former Hulk doesn’t want to smash Marvel Studios anymore.

ComicBook.com reports that Edward Norton, who starred as Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the 2008 Louis Leterrier film The Incredible Hulk, sat down with Total Film and discussed the possibility of him returning to the MCU. The Motherless Brooklyn star didn't shut down the idea, offering, “Maybe as a baddie? Maybe I’ll write my own. I don’t know, I’m open to everything. I mean, I did Ask the StoryBots on Netflix.”

Though it is merely a musing, it does come as quite the surprise to many fans. Norton has been pretty vocal about his disappointment with Marvel over the years, and has consistently made jabs at the studio, only to backpedal later.

The Fight Club star said in his recent interview of his experience as Hulk:

“The Hulk was… I felt sad that what [director] Louis [Leterrier] and I set out to do, in terms of taking more of a Chris Nolan approach to making something that was a little more dark and serious, they ended up sort of neutering.”

Though he was thoroughly disappointed in the film and the studio, it seems that it isn’t enough to keep him from coming back as a villain. Make it happen, Kevin Feige!
