Fans Are Loving This Marvel Cinematic Universe Connection in Chris Hemsworth's New Netflix Movie 'Extraction'

Chris Hemsworth is one busy guy! Not only is he set to reprise his role as Thor in Marvel's upcoming film Thor: Love and Thunder, but he also stars in the action thriller film Extraction, which was released on Netflix last month. The film follows Tyler Rake, a black-market mercenary and former Australian Special Air Service Regiment soldier who is tasked with the dangerous mission of rescuing an Indian drug lord's kidnapped son in Bangladesh.

Hemsworth recently released a behind-the-scenes clip on his Instagram that shows the grueling process of shooting car chases and coordinating stunts. It looks like they filmed some of the car chase shots with a cameraman strapped to the front of a car! You can check out the video below.

As reported by WeGotThisCovered, there is another Marvel actor in the film that fans should be on the lookout for, although he is best known for his role in a certain Netflix sci-fi series. That's right: David Harbour appears in Extraction as Gaspar, a mysterious man with connections to Hemsworth's character, Tyler. Harbour is slated to appear as Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian in the much-anticipated Marvel film Black Widow, which is set for release in Nov. 2020. Many people to Twitter while watching the new Netflix movie to share their excitement.

And Hemsworth and Harbour weren't the only Marvel alumni on the set of Extraction, as the film was produced by Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors of several Marvel blockbusters, but most notably Avengers: Endgame. Extraction director Sam Hargrave has also worked with Marvel as a stunt coordinator and second-unit director on the previous two Avengers films. It seems like Extraction had a great cast and crew!
