'Avengers: Endgame' is Already Available for Preorder on Amazon

If you didn’t get a great seat in the theater for Avengers: Endgame, or just don't want to put up with the crowds, you may be in luck very soon. The record-breaking Marvel movie is already available for preorder on Amazon, as CNET reports. (Admit it, you know you can’t wait to watch the three-hour blockbuster in the comfort of your own home.)

Though no official release date has been given, it's doubtful that the impending opportunity to watch the movie from your couch will slow the film's box office domination. Ticket sales for Avengers: Endgame have now reached more than $2 billion worldwide, which leaves just one film—James Cameron's Avatar—in its way of achieving the top spot of the highest-grossing movies of all time.

At the moment, Endgame is just over $500 million short of Avatar's total box office tally, so its ascension to No. 1 seems pretty likely. And with as massive a movie as the latest MCU installment is, it's only fitting that it will remain on the big screen for as long as fans are still lining up to see it (for a second, third, or fourth time).

The price to download one of the most popular movies of all time (plus bonus features) will come to $19.99 on Amazon. But if you wait until November, when Disney's new Disney+ streaming service premieres—on which Endgame is expected to be made available—you can watch as many MCU films as you can handle for just $6.99 a month.

Though it may be a while before an official release date for the streaming version of the film is announced, history might offer some insight: Infinity War, which—like Endgame—debuted in theaters in late April, came home on July 31, 2018.
