A Man Named Luke Sky Walker Got Arrested and Mark Hamill is Weighing in

On Thursday, Nov. 29, police in Elizabethton, Tennessee arrested 21-year-old Luke Sky Walker for violating his probation. While it’s not Mark Hamill, the actor who plays Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, who is in trouble here, the 67-year-old star had some thoughts about the events, which he shared on Twitter.

Hamill shared that he actually felt pity for Walker, but thought the boy was #AlsoTooShortForAStormtrooper anyway.

Initially, Walker’s middle name was omitted from the arrest report. When it was revealed that he had the middle name “Sky,” Twitter erupted with jokes poking fun at Walker, whose parents must be insanely big Star Wars fans.

Walker was on probation in connection with a felony theft charge. According to online records, he was being held without bond at the Carter County jail. The 21-year-old was first arrested in 2017 on charges of stealing 46 road signs. Walker and his three cohorts were discovered with the signs in the backseat of a car during a traffic stop.

As for Mark Hamill, the actor has been very active on Twitter besides this instance, and has even accidentally become “twitter-pals” with the 25-year-old pop singer, Ariana Grande last month.

Through his social media activity, the 67-year-old actor is making sure to stay connected to his younger fanbase.
