We've all had some over the top ideas when thinking about what we would do if we could helm a Star Wars movie. There are basically endless possibilities on where a franchise like that could go. And it seems Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, took the opportunity to go ahead and even pitch a few ideas to George Lucas.

For Return of the Jedi, Hamill apparently had a major idea for Boba Fett. He wanted the bounty hunter to be Luke's mom.

A fan took to Twitter to ask Hamill about the rumors that a Star Wars theory at the time saw Boba Fett as Luke's mother, and if the actor had anything to do with it. "This can't be true?!?!!" the fan stated. Our thoughts exactly.

Hamill, who often replies to fans on social media, responded with a lengthy explanation confirming what happened. "I once suggested it to George as the only way we could top Vader being my father," he shared. "Then there was the time I pitched Boba Fett as Luke's mother. I have always been more than willing to generously share my many, many terrible ideas in the off-chance we might stumble across one that could actually be useful."

"At the time, I didn't even know Leia was my sister," Hamill added.

It seems even Hamill envisioned Boba Fett being more central to the franchise, but ultimately couldn't sway Lucas with this crazy idea, understandably. The fan-favorite character was recently believed to be getting his own standalone film, however Kathleen Kennedy reportedly called the project "100% dead" last month.

Although Luke met his demise in The Last Jedi, Hamill has confirmed he will be returning for Episode IX, so we hope he continues to pitch ideas as he continues with the franchise. Hopefully one crazy pitch will take!
