Euphoria star and Emmy winning actress, Zendaya, 24, brought her fashion A-game to the BET Awards on Sunday, June 27 and donned an archival Versace look that pays homage to the dress Queen of R&B, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter wore to the 2003 ceremony.
While Bey's version was a mini dress with a pleated, ultra-high hem, the Spiderman: No Way Home actress opted instead for a flowy, maxi-length skirt with a daring leg slit. Both versions boasted a rich purple hue, lime green accents, and revealing cutouts around the torso.
Zendaya's longtime stylist and image architect, Law Roach, dug into the archives for this breezy frock from Versace's Spring/Summer 2003 collection. The stylists shared a video of the star strutting her stuff on social media, and wrote beside the post, "Paying homage to the Queen Beyoncé wearing@versace SS2003 ..... get you a stylist with [an] ARCHIVE!!!!"
Later, the 27-year-old took to her own Instagram and posted a few fun snaps showing off her enviously long toned legs in the gorgeous vintage ensemble. The former Disney actress also opted for a pair of custom dyed Stuart Weitzman Nudist sandals and finally finished off the look wit 31 carats of Bulgari high jewellery.
