Why Scott Disick and Six-Year-Old Daughter Penelope Are Being Called 'Racist' After Recent Photo

Although not as drastically, Scott Disick does get criticized for many things on social media like his very famous family. Just like with his baby mama Kourtney Kardashian, hateful comments can be found circulating his Instagram page, with many simply being judgemental and cruel. However, this time, Scott might actually be in the wrong.

In his newest Instagram post, he and daughter Penelope, six, are photographed out to dinner at an Asian restaurant. Scott wrote in the caption, "Best first date of 2019!" At first glance, it's a sweet photo. But take note of what P is doing with her eyes. Although we can't be sure, many believe she's trying to imitate Asian eyes.

Obviously, this is extremely racist if that's what Penelope is doing, and many have taken to Scott's comments section to call him out for the post. "This is racist I am sure another photo could’ve been posted. Don’t care which direction she is stretching her eye; given the setting n [sic] the whole context of the photo it’s offensive," one wrote, while another added, "Wow and this is a prime example of how racism is taught. People aren’t born with it. Ignorance at its finest."

However, others came to Scott's defense, with comments such as, "Seriously? She’s pulling her eyes up , not out to make slanted. She is just making a Silly face for a photo much like my kids do," and "Shes having fun with her dad there's nothing racist with this picture and her eyes arent slanted down they're pulled opened."

Scott has yet to comment on the controversy, and the photo still stands, so we're sure they meant no harm. However, when you post things on the internet, you share it with the world for any interpretation. Maybe he should be more careful next time.
