Why Harry Strickland of the Golden Company Might Join Jon Snow in 'Game of Thrones' Season 8

Without warning, Game of Thrones finally dropped the highly-anticipated Season 8 trailer today. And of course, beyond the initial freakouts of seeing our favorite characters again, we've all started to theorize after watching the video a handful of times. From questions ranging from if Jaime Lannister is joining the North, to what Arya Stark is running from, there's certainly a ton to unpack here.

Many have taken to Reddit to ask questions and speculate what the nearly two-minute trailer means, with many inquiring about the Golden Company. Some raised eyebrows when they saw a leader at the top of the ship of the army Cersei Lannister hired, although we can only see the back of his head. That man would likely be Harry Strickland, who IMDb has confirmed is played by Marc Rissmann.

We last heard of this mysterious army in the Season 7 finale, when Euron Greyjoy was sent to Essos to bring them to Westeros to join Cersei. From this alone, we obviously know we should be intimidated by Harry and the whole Company, however a fan on Reddit has uncovered a clue which makes it seem the leader will not stay faithful to Cersei after all.

User vlajkoS took to the platform today to share a screenshot of a post originally by jlynn121, which was allegedly taken down due to it containing possible spoilers. The post shows a photo from Season 8 filming, in which Kit Harington (Jon Snow) is beside someone who looks like Marc Rissmann. If this is true, this would likely mean Harry is joining Jon, and in turn Daenerys, in the fight.

While it's hard to be certain that's him, both users have been vocal on how sure they are. Many have also commented on the Reddit post, with some even pointing to alleged leaks which may support this idea. However, one commenter was quick to remind fans that Thrones supposedly did film fake scenes to throw spies off the scent. This could very well be one of them, or not even Rissmann at all.

GoT returns for the final time on April 14, and we can't wait to (hopefully) see Cersei fail, however that may be.
