VIDEO: Tommen Actor Dean-Charles Chapman Says 'Game of Thrones' Alternate Ending Should Be Released

Tommen Baratheon might not have had much of a say when he wore the crown as King of Westeros, but now the actor who brought him to life, Dean-Charles Chapman, is taking a stand for the people.
TMZ reports that the Game of Thrones actor recently answered a few of their questions whilst signing autographs Saturday in New York City. The 22-year-old English star was informed that his former co-star, Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane), recently spilled that an alternate ending to the HBO series was filmed. The reporter asked Chapman if he thought it should be released, to which he responded, “Yeah, why not?” adding that the network is making a spinoff show or two, so there would be no harm in giving the public what they want.
The spinoff show currently in the works is titled House of the Dragon. It follows the Targaryen rulers 300 years before the events of GoT. News of the confirmed series followed an announcement that another prequel that was in the works starring Naomi Watts and set thousands of years before the flagship show had been axed.
Even with the forthcoming spinoff series, there is very little hope that HBO, along with showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, will release the alternate ending. Fans made such a stink about the show's conclusion that it is unlikely they would want to endure the fandom being upset by yet another storyline; or worse…the fury of fans loving the alternate ending and shaming the duo for not choosing it to begin with.
In my opinion, much like Tommen in Season 6, the chance to see the other ending is long gone.
