Fans are excited to see the God of Mischief return in upcoming Loki series on Disney+. However, many have been confused as to how his storyline will fit in with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, seeing how the character, played by Tom Hiddleston, died at the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War.

Loki’s short return in Avengers: Endgame even confused fans further, leaving many hopeful that our favorite trouble-making superhero is still alive and well somewhere in the universe. And it turns out that these theories might be right. ComicBook.com reports that, this week on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Hiddleston confirmed the new show will give us answers. In the clip below, the 38-year-old actor explains:

“I can tell you this, actually… In the years since Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, which came out this spring, two questions I have been asked [are] ‘Is Loki really dead?’ and ‘What is Loki doing with that cube?’ It’s always the cube, somehow. And this series will answer both of those questions.”

As you know, “the cube” Hiddleston refers to is the Tesseract, which Loki successfully escapes with after the Battle of New York in Endgame. This would mean that Loki could and likely does exist in timelines or realms.

We can’t wait to see Loki stir up more trouble in every universe.
