VIDEO: 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' Cast Doesn't Even Know How to Explain This Plot Hole [SPOILERS]

This story includes spoilers for 'Avengers: Endgame.'

If you're still confused about any elements of Avengers: Endgame, especially a certain plot hole about your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, don't expect any answers from the cast of Spider-Man: Far From Home. They're as stumped as us.

One of the biggest questions fans have after seeing Endgame is how Peter Parker and his friends are still in high school if there was a five-year time jump at the beginning of the movie. Jimmy Kimmel wanted answers when the cast, Tom Holland, Jake Gyllenhaal, Zendaya, Cobie Smulders, and Jacob Batalon, were all on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, but they could not help.

"Why...why are we still in high school?" Holland asked. Batalon responded, "I mean, it might be one of the biggest plot holes of all time." And Smulders added, "I don’t want to pull that thread. I don’t know."

It's hard to tell if the cast was avoiding providing a real answer because it would spoil things or if they truly didn't know.

To Endgame's co-writer Stephen McFeely, however, the explanation for the possible plot hole makes perfect sense. He shared with CinemaBlend that anyone the same age as Peter at the end of Endgame would have been part of the percentage of people snapped from the universe. So essentially no time had passed for them, and they just went back to high school.

Spider-Man: Far From Home premieres on July 2.
