VIDEO: 'Rick and Morty' Pokes Fun at 'Stranger Things' With Mocking Title Reveal

The highly anticipated fourth season of Rick and Morty is almost here (well, sort of), and everything about the coming season has been kind of strange: how long it took to make it, the fact that we are only getting five episodes, and honestly, the fact that it is even coming back at all.
But, as is custom with the Rick and Morty showrunners, instead of shying away from the strange, they are embracing it, and are even throwing a little shade in the process.

Gizmodo reports that the crew at Adult Swim shared some titles from the coming season, and they are as punny as we’ve come to expect, including hilarious titles such as “Edge of Tomorty: Rick, Die, Rickpeat” and “Claw and Hoarder: Special Ricktim’s Morty.”
At the end of the episode titles sequence, the camera pans out to find an eerily similar title shot of “Rick and Morty 4,” which is definitely nodding at the Stranger Things’ season 4 announcement teaser released in September.
Though you probably won’t, Rick and Morty writers don’t want you picking apart every detail of their video like fans did with Stranger Things. They captioned the video on Twitter, “These episode titles don’t really tell you much. #RickAndMorty returns to @adultswim November 10 at 11:30pm.”
Though Rick and Morty probably has a lot of people to make fun of this season, I’m sure this isn’t the only joke about the Netflix series we will see in the coming weeks.
