A sneak peek from this week's episode of Teen Mom OG shows Mackenzie McKee grieving the loss of her mother, Angie Douthit, who passed away in Dec. 2019 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

The clip shows Mackenzie and her family attending a memorial service for Angie. “Angie did not lose her battle to cancer, she won the race set before her,” said one mourner. “No doubt the last part of the race was tough, but she never quit and she finished strong.” As pictures of her mother flash overhead, Mackenzie leans on her husband Josh McKee for support in the crowd. The next part of the teaser catches up with Mackenzie one month later, after she has taken time to grieve and is preparing to transition back to life as usual. “Losing my mom is one of the hardest things I’ve ever been through in my life,” the MTV star says in a voiceover.

Nothing helps heartache like spending time with friends and loved ones, so Mackenzie heads to the nail salon with her friend Cayla for some much needed pampering. The mother-of-three admits she is struggling to face reality without her mom. “We’ll [all] be fine. Then something small will remind us … The last person I got my toenails done with was my mom,” she says. “That’s what we always did together and everyone says that it gets easier, and it just seems to be getting harder every single day.”

Mackenzie tells Cayla that Josh has been helpful, but admits that she is still grappling with the loss of her mother. “Some days I feel paralyzed, where I can’t even get out of bed and move and I am not OK," she confesses. Hopefully, Mackenzie is finding solace among her loved ones. Our hearts go out to her and her family.
