VIDEO: Kourtney Kardashian Admits to Feeling Like She 'Was on a Hamster Wheel' With 'KUWTK' Filming

Life in the spotlight can't be easy, but no one has been more honest about the struggle than Kourtney Kardashian. The KUWTK star took a step back from filming the show in recent months, and now, she's further explaining why.

Kourt sat down with E! News’ Jason Kennedy for an episode of In the Room, and dished on why exactly she needed a break so badly.

“I feel like I’ve finally gotten to the place where I can balance being a mom and working. I’ve always done both, obviously, but it used to be where I would work a lot more. And so I’ve really shifted my focus," the 40-year-old reality star explained.

Kourtney continued, "But I never had time with them after school to do their homework and go to their activities. They all really need one-on-one time with me, so making an effort to do something — it’s time-consuming, it’s my whole life.”

Kourt knew it was time to make a change when she wasn't feeling her happy usual self. “I was feeling just really unhappy. I felt like I was on a hamster wheel. I felt like something needed to change," she admitted.

The step back may have incited some drama between Kourtney and her sisters, but since, things are back to business as usual. “She’s filming again,” Kris Jenner confirmed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last month. “I think she just needed a little bit of a break.”
