Chadwick Boseman might've slayed as T'Challa in Black Panther, but that does not mean he is interested in taking his talents to the small screen.

CBR reports that the 41-year-old actor recently sat down with MTV to promote his new film 21 Bridges. In the video below (at the 3:13 mark), he is asked what Marvel Cinematic Universe character he would like to team up with on a Disney+ series. The 42 actor laughs as he admits, “I wouldn’t because I do want to do a TV show,” adding, “I have a whole list of things that I’m excited about, and none of those are franchises.”

Though he isn’t interested in reprising his role in a series, he did reveal that he is looking forward to putting a lot of care into making Black Panther 2. He states, “Hopefully we can maintain the foundation that we sort of set and build upon in and expand and explore. That’s what I hope, but first you have to maintain the foundation…We built a culture and a world so you have to make sure that you keep that in place.”

The sequel was officially announced at San Diego Comic-Con this year, and is set to be released May 6, 2022 with Ryan Coogler as the returning writer and director.
