Things have been tough lately for Jenelle Evans. She got fired from Teen Mom 2, she lost custody of all three of her children and her dog, Nugget, was killed. What makes matters even more complicated is that her husband, David Eason, is either partially or fully responsible for all of these tragedies. Eason confessed to shooting her dog after Nugget allegedly nipped at their daughter, Ensley and the children were removed by CPS as a result.

As reported by The Ashley, Dr. Jenn Mann of VH1's Couples Therapy is hopeful that this string of recent incidents will be enough to push Jenelle away from David. In an interview with Hollywood Life, Dr. Jenn said: “I think that the pain is a great motivator for people, so losing her children hopefully will motivate her. If that doesn’t, I don’t know what [will].”

Dr. Jenn, who is a relationship expert, a therapist, and a former rape and domestic violence counselor, has not officially worked with Jenelle or David but has worked with many other stars from the Teen Mom franchise.

Dr. Jenn attributes Jenelle's decision to stand by her husband's side to low self-esteem: “I would say that, while Jenelle is ultimately responsible for her choices, the mindset that she is in right now is clearly one of someone who has been victimized, and also someone with terrible self-esteem. I do believe that she loves her children. She clearly states it. But you don’t make a life choice like this [to stay] if you are someone who feels good about yourself.”

She encourages Jenelle's friends and family to be direct right now, not to "mince words" as her relationship with David has the potential to be extremely destructive, even more than it already has been.

For the time being, however, Jenelle shows no intention of leaving David and says that they will "get through this."
