Since the cheating scandal surrounding Tristan Thompson and Jordyn Woods broke this past February, Thompson has been on the outs with the Kardashian family, with then-girlfriend Khloé Kardashian ending their relationship and Thompson coming to be a general pariah. However, Thompson and Kardashian have surprisingly established a relatively amicable relationship--and this week, the NBA player bought a mansion nearby to the reality star.

According to Cosmopolitan, Thompson’s new $6.5 million mansion is located in Encino California, which is around a 25-minute drive from the home where Kardashian lives with their one year-old daughter, True. Though he will maintain a residence in Cleveland while he plays for the Cavaliers (his contract ends in 2020), the new home will likely enable him to help parent True.

The home, as Cosmopolitan reports, boasts seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a marble patio, a pool, a deck, and an oversized spa.

The details of Kardashian and Thompson’s co-parenting arrangement have been ambiguous, but as we previously reported, Kardashian opened up about its difficulties last month while on Laura Wasser's podcast Divorce Sucks!, explaining:

"It does f**ing suck. It does and there's moments that because our personal emotions are still in there and for me, you know, Tristan and I broke up not too long ago, so it's really raw and so those emotions could be heightened at times."

As for us, we’re glad to see that Thompson is getting to have some proximity to his daughter--scummy though he may be, we think that True deserves to grow up in the fullest environment possible.
