Lifetime Canada officially premiered the movie Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal this past weekend. The film, shot in British Columbia, pays specific attention to the stressful week leading up to the Royal Wedding, especially the tension between Meghan and her father, Thomas Markle. We see the supposed-stress only days before their wedding faced by Meghan, played by Tiffany Marie Smith, and Harry, played by Charlie Field.

The Lifetime movie portrays a scene between Meghan and Harry, when discovering that her father had a heart attack through tabloid gossip.

The scene deals with the alleged tension between Meghan and her father, along with her fear that she would have to walk down the aisle alone. Thomas Markle was less than impressed with the scene and the whole film in general. In an interview with TMZ after the premiere, he called it "dumb fiction."

According to TMZ, Thomas Markle is disappointed with his portrayal in the film and claims he never bailed on his daughter's wedding, nor did he use heart surgery as an excuse for going MIA.
