There's a Chance 'Game of Thrones' Will Drop Season 8 Trailer During Super Bowl
By Kwadar Ray

This evening, all of the hype and anticipation for Super Bowl LIII will end, as the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots will finally square off after two weeks of preparation.
But for the millions of non-football fans who tune into the big game just for the epic commercials, this year may be a dozy. Along with the usual Bud Light and Doritos ads, there's a great chance that the official trailer for Game of Thrones Season 8 will drop.
Thus far, HBO has only given us small, ambiguous teasers.

But a full trailer may finally arrive on Super Bowl Sunday. Based on recent history, highlighted by Inverse, HBO has released huge trailers in the past during the big game. Last year, the cable network dropped the epic Westworld Season 2 trailer during the Patriots-Eagles game.
So with the precedent set for using one of the biggest television spectacles in history to promote its major releases, along with Game of Thrones being the company's flagship show, it's not a stretch to assume HBO will look to release the trailer tonight.

Now, this is just a hunch, and there's no reports confirming that a trailer is arriving. But since HBO has neither confirmed nor denied doing ads this year, who's to say they won't use a slot to promote one of the hugest seasons in TV history?
