This year, Kim Kardashian's holiday "theme" seems to be confusion. First the plush trees and now, velvet wrapped gifts. "Creamy velvet," says Kim.

The mother of four shared the family's gift aesthetic on her insta-story, Cosmopolitan reports. As usual, she explained what led to the choice, but her explanation didn't exactly clear things up.

In the post, Kim tells her fans, "West Holiday wrapping this year! Each year every family member pics a color and vibe so we know who the gifts are from. This year we chose creamy velvet!"

And if you didn't see enough beige boxes, she shared more.

Am I missing something? So every family member chose this "color and vibe?" Some fans are finding this hard to believe and calling the look "boring."

Frankly, it's hard to imagine that any child, much less four children, would make such a selection. Delicately unwrapping beige rectangular gifts just lacks a certain something. More importantly, how do they know who they're from or who they're for? Kim claims that the aesthetic reveals the answer. But again, how? Call me uncultured but all of these presents look exactly the same.

Cotton trees, gray sweats, creamy velvet. Whatever Kimmy's aim, many feel this "vibe" is missing more than just nametags. Atop all the other mounting holiday questions for the Kardashian, fans are beginning to ask, where's the holiday spirit?
