'The Walking Dead' Pokes Fun at 'Avengers: Endgame' Posters
By Hannah Wigandt

It seems like all the greatest movies and shows have the same idea lately--shocking fans with multiple character deaths. First came the sinister snap that killed off many of our favorite superheroes in Avengers: Infinity War, and now fans were treated to a similar outcome in the most recent episode of The Walking Dead, which saw ten characters killed. If this is a new plot device that's now popular, can it skip the final season of Game of Thrones? Please?
But if you watched the heartbreaking season finale of the popular zombie show you can't mistake the similarities between Thanos' snap and the TWD masacre. And now, the show thought it would be funny to parody this.

The Twitter page for The Walking Dead decided to parallel the similarities by playing off the recent Avengers: Endgame promotional posters that depicted the heroes who died in the snap in black and white, along with the ones who lived in color with the motto "Avenge the Fallen" written across their faces. Only now, their faces are swapped with The Walking Dead characters--both living and dead.

The imitations are just as emotional as the Avengers posters, though, and even give Danai Gurira one that parodies her own Marvel character.
This crossover is just what we needed after that emotional TWD episode.
