The One 'Avengers: Infinity War' Detail That Might Hint Maria Hill is a Skrull

Now thanks to Captain Marvel, Skrulls are part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which makes fans think that anyone in the films could be a shapeshifting alien. So far there have been many theories regarding who could be one of them, and now one Reddit user is arguing S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill, of all people, could be one of these secret aliens.

Redditor PureAsSunlight pointed out how strange it was that in the post-credits scene in Avengers: Infinity War, where Hill turns to dust, she calls Nick Fury "Nick," something he never lets people call him. "No one calls me Nicholas, Joseph or Nick, everyone calls me Fury," the user recalls the character saying in Captain Marvel.

User leonconrayas then commented that this could be because Hill is a Skrull, and gave three reasons that explain the theory. First, it would explain why she's always with Fury and not Coulson. Secondly, it would give reason as to how she knew Fury was alive in Captain America: Winter Soldier. And lastly, it could be how she infiltrated the truck that was transporting Captain America in disguise as a S.T.R.I.K.E. agent.

At the end of the day, though, Hill probably wouldn't need to be a shapeshifting alien to do any of that, as she's already pretty good at her job without the superpowers.
