The threat of Coronavirus continues to alter everyday life, including in Hollywood and around the world, with tons of movie productions being halted or delayed. Now, ComicBook.com reports that the upcoming Blumhouse Productions thriller, Vengeance, is the latest movie to go on hiatus due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.

As first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the movie was shooting in Albuquerque, New Mexico and was about two weeks into production. Crew members were reportedly informed of the production delay this week. BJ Novak, best known for playing Ryan Howard on The Office, was making his movie directorial debut with the production. Not only is Novak directing, but he also penned the script and will be acting in the film. Other cast members include Issa Rae, Ashton Kutcher, and Boyd Holbrook. That's an impressive lineup!

Novak took to social media this week, confirming his involvement in the project and thanking film producer Jason Blum for making the tough call to suspend production to keep people safe and healthy. Check out the post below.

"This is true," Novak wrote. "I have been making this movie with this truly amazing & inspired cast and crew. We are almost complete and I can’t wait to get back to it when everyone is safe & healthy. Thank you to Jason Blum for putting people in danger in your movies but never in real life, and to @hollywoodreporter for always running pictures of me in a tuxedo instead of the long sleeve tee I wear 364 days of the year."

The plot of the movie has thus far been kept under wraps.
