'The New Mutants' Reportedly Confirmed for Theater Release

After Disney closed its deal with Fox, many fans didn't know whether we would get to see the upcoming X-Men spin-off The New Mutants, in theaters or at all. With Avengers: Endgame and Dark Phoenix premiering soon, many seemed to have forgotten about the other X-Men film in production, that is until star Maisie Williams commented on it--hinting it might not be happening anytime soon.
The New Mutants has already been delayed a number of times, but good news reportedly comes from CinemaCon, as it's apparently coming to theaters after all.
At CinemaCon, Disney presented all of its planned future films, which reportedly included The New Mutants, according to CinemaBlend. It also announced the film should see a release date of Aug. 2. It's been a long time coming, considering the first trailer arrived back in 2017.
The movie was rumored to premiere on the new streaming service Disney+, as well as on Hulu, but now we can rest assured we'll be seeing it on the big screen as originally planned.
