Peter Weber has endured his fair share of haters in the wake of The Bachelor finale, and it seems like he’s finally done with the negativity. That’s right—fans just discovered that the former ABC leading man has disabled his Instagram comments.

Peter apparently turned off comments after posting a video of himself dancing with his mom, Barbara. “If I’m even half the parent my mom has been to me, my kids will be the luckiest in the world,” he captioned the video. “Spread love, I promise you’ll never regret it.”

Fans were naturally upset about the online abuse—especially on a post involving Peter's family. “He’s having fun with his Mama. Let him be,” wrote one Redditor. “I hated his season just as much as the next person but leave the poor guy alone” commented another.

Peter definitely made plenty of mistakes when it came to choosing between Hannah Ann Sluss and Madison Prewett—even his mom was exasperated by his actions. Still, he’s been trying to stay publicly positive, posting a lengthy message about the lessons he learned from the women on the show, and even explaining why he wouldn’t redo his season if he could.

Peter isn’t the only member of Bachelor Nation facing overwhelming social media hate. During the Women Tell All, host Chris Harrison invited former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay to talk to viewers about the harassment directed against the women from Peter’s season. “Just imagine how uncomfortable it is to get this in your comments and your DMs every day, every week, every month,” Lindsay explained. “And that’s just a tip of the iceberg.”

We hope if Peter did disable his comments to purposefully block out the haters, it's working.
