Catelynn Lowell's fans are not pleased.

According to The Sun, the Teen Mom OG star is being slammed for a post claiming she's "giving away" her five-year-old daughter, Novalee. True or not, it was posted to help promote a clickbait article and commenters say that's not cool.

The post has since been deleted, but at the time, Catelynn captioned the photo on Instagram with her and Tyler Baltierra's daughter, “We’re giving Nova away. #LinkInBio.” However, the link brought readers to an article where the MTV personality defended her choice to let her daughter wear colored hair extensions.

It's still not clear if Catelynn wrote the caption or what the deal is. Various reality stars have admitted to letting someone else control their social media accounts, especially when it comes to promotional material. But fans of the show are saying that doesn't matter, noting the responsibility still falls on the 27-year-old reality star.

One commenter wrote, “Given their whole storyline, with Carly, her saying that they’re giving another child away, even for a click bait [sic] tease, or a joke is in such poor taste. What a piece of vile trash!!” Another person said, “I don't give a flying f**k if they post it or not. They give permission for people to post this s**t day after day after day and it's always super gross.”

Catelynn and Tyler have three children together. Their eldest, Carly, was put up for adoption in 2009. Throughout their very public journey as parents, they've remained advocates for adoption. So to sum it up, when it came to the phrasing on this post, fans were outraged, claiming these two should know better and that no child is simply "given away."

Neither Catelynn nor Tyler have responded to the backlash.
