Taylor Swift Net Worth: How the Singer Has Made Her Fortune

Taylor Swift has just turned 29, and even if you consider yourself a big fan of the singer, you might not know all of her achievements over the years. Doesn't it seem like just yesterday she was 22, singing her song "22"? It appears she's only getting more successful with every passing birthday. Does that success translate to money? Yes, it definitely does.

As of 2018, Forbes gave Taylor a spot on their America's Richest Self-Made Women list, with a net worth of $320 million! She ranks at No. 60, behind the likes of Oprah Winfrey and Sheryl Sandberg. Not bad, Taylor, not bad at all.

You might be wondering how exactly she's made this incredible fortune. To start, Taylor is a 10-time Grammy winner whose latest album Reputation sold two million copies worldwide during its opening week. By August, only mid-way through it, her Reputation Stadium Tour broke her previous tour record, earning $191.1 million in the U.S., with an additional $11.1 million earned in Canada. The tour ended just a few weeks ago on Nov. 21.

Taylor and her family moved to Tennessee when she was only 14 so she could pursue a career in country music. She became the youngest artist ever to be signed by Big Machine Records soon after. Her first studio album, Taylor Swift, was released in 2006, and would be followed by Fearless (2008), Speak Now (2010), Red (2012), 1989 (2014), and Reputation (2017).

Her first tour, the Fearless Tour, ran from April 2009 to June 2010 and earned her $63 million. Her second, the Speak Now World Tour, ran from Feb. 2011 to March 2012 and made over $123 million. Next up was the Red Tour, which ran from March 2013 and ended in June 2014, grossing over $150 million. After that came the 1989 Tour, running from May 2015 to Dec. 2015, which earned over $250 million, becoming the highest-grossing concert tour of all time.

Taylor has contributed a number of songs for movie soundtracks, has co-written tracks for other artists, and has collaborated with multiple musicians. In 2013, she co-wrote the song "Sweeter Than Fiction" with Jack Antonoff for the One Chance soundtrack, which received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song.

Taylor's acting debut came in 2009 with an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and later had a brief part in the 2010 film Valentine's Day. In 2012, she voiced a character in the animated film The Lorax, made a cameo on New Girl in 2013, and appeared in The Giver in 2014. In 2018, it was announced Taylor was cast for upcoming adaptation of the musical Cats.

Beyond singing and acting, Taylor has done various endorsement deals with the likes of Verizon Wireless, CoverGirl, Subway, Fujifilm, and more. Her perfume deal Elizabeth Arden spawned the fragrances Wonderstruck, Wonderstruck Enchanted, Taylor by Taylor Swift, and Incredible Things.

Today, Taylor announced she's releasing a concert film from the Reputation Stadium Tour on Netflix, premiering on Dec. 31!

We have no sign of Taylor in the studio again yet, but considering she just finished up her most successful tour to date, we're sure she'll take some much-needed down time for a bit now. With her $320 million, she'll be comfortable to just chill for a while!
