As if we needed another reason to love Stranger ThingsJoe Keery, it turns out the threats of the Upside Down and evil Russians aren’t the only things he's slaying.

Keery, who plays the jerk-turned-lovable-dweeb character of Steve “The Hair” Harrington on the Netflix series, recently released his first song with his band Djo, and it’s really good. Take a listen below.

While hearing Keery hit some sweet high notes in the single “Roddy” might come as a shock to fans, singing was actually his first calling.

Vice reports that the 27-year-old actor was in the Chicago psych-rock band Post Animal before his rise in Stranger Things. Keery left the band before they released their 2018 LP When I Think Of You In A Castle, on which he contributed vocal parts on songs "Ralphie" and "Dirtpicker.”

Keery isn’t the only Stranger Things cast member who has a knack for the more musical side of life. His co-star Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler) fronts the rock band Calpurnia.

We can’t wait to see more work from Djo, and hopefully a video of a Mike and Steve jam sesh sometime soon.
