Stranger Things fans, don't lose out hope. We've just been given a mini Season 4 update from producer Shawn Levy, and fans are taking it as the best news they've heard in weeks.

Levy reacted to the question fans seem to need to know the answer to as soon as possible. Even when promoting a new project alongside Blake Lively titled Dark Days at the Magna Carta on Instagram, people couldn't stop talking about Hawkins, Indiana. And when one person asked, "When are you going to start shooting ST 4?," Levy replied, "As absolutely soon as we can safely do so. Trust me: We want it as bad as you," adding two emojis. We sure hope so!

Fans out there remain skeptical, however. After all, there's really no way to know how soon "soon" will be in the current state of things. While discussing Levy's comment on Reddit, one person speculated, "It might be time to start wondering how much the virus is going to affect the actual product of S4 and not just the timing. If filming resumes as normal within the next couple of months, it's unlikely anything will change." Another was more hopeful, adding, "With the way things are going currently, resuming in July in some capacity could be a possibility (although who knows where we will be in another month). It's unlikely this time gap does anything script-wise, the Duffers like to write and change things as the filming is happening."

Of course, there's not an exact date in mind to expect Season 4 to pick up filming again, but we can only hope that this pause in production is simply a hiccup in the grand scheme of (stranger) things.
