'Stranger Things' Star Millie Bobby Brown Reminds Fans Importance of Social Distancing on Instagram

Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown took to Instagram on Sunday, urging her followers to stay safe and self-isolate as fear surrounding Coronavirus grows.

According to the CDC, the respiratory disease was first detected in China and has now been detected in more than 100 locations internationally, including in the United States. As reported by the World Health Organization, there are now more than 118,000 cases in 114 countries. People around the world are taking extra precautions to stay healthy, such as avoiding handshakes and large gatherings, and some are even in self-quarantine to help prevent the spread of the virus. The picture of Millie Bobby Brown, who stars as telepathic queen Eleven on the Netflix sci-fi drama, shows her lounging in sweatpants and a tank top, cuddling two adorable dogs. See the post below.

She captioned the picture, "this is the perfect time to be with our families and fluffy friends," and noted that self-isolation and social distancing is extremely important in these uncertain times. She continued, "let's protect the people that hold our history," and said she sends love to her fans around the world.

The immediate risk of being exposed to Coronavirus is still low for most Americans, but as the outbreak expands, that risk will grow. Cases of COVID-19 and instances of the illness spreading in communities are being reported in an increasing number of states. On March 11, the World Health Organization characterized Coronavirus as a pandemic, and two days later the President of the United States declared the outbreak a national emergency.
