Stephen Amell Explains Why He's Not Sure if He'd Play a Marvel Role After 'Arrow'
By Hannah Wigandt

The CW's Arrow is coming to an end after eight seasons, leaving behind the next era of DC series in the Arrowverse. So it seems like the Arrow himself, Stephen Amell, will soon have a lot of free time to pursue other projects. Fans are questioning if it's possible he'll turns to Marvel for a role, but apparently that's likely won't be the case.
With how successful Arrow has been over the years, along with Amell's portrayal of the superhero, fans have been hoping that he takes on more superhero roles. But as he recently told one fan at convention, it doesn't look like that's a possibility, according to ComicBook.com.
"I don’t know, man," Amell told a fan at MegaCon in Orlando when asked if he'd be open to playing a Marvel role. "I do know that I think there’s a negative connotation surrounding being typecast. What you want as an actor… is that the big thing you do as an actor is get work in the first place. So how do you get typecast? You get typecast because you get work. And you do something to the point that there’s a distinction to it and that distinction makes people identify you with that type of character. I don’t know what I’m going to do."
It's understandable Amell doesn't want to be known for just one type of role, but at least we can still see him play the Arrow for one more season, which will tie-in the crossover "Crisis on Infinite Earths." The CW series returns this fall.
