'Star Wars: Episode IX' and 'Captain Marvel' Receive Terrible Reviews From Trolls on Rotten Tomatoes

Internet trolls need to calm down with their bombarding of reviews and comments. They've gone onto Rotten Tomatoes to leave their nasty opinions, and their newest targets? Star Wars: Episode IX and Captain Marvel.

Granted, for Episode IX, there has been next to nothing given away about the finale of the Skywalker story, so maybe that's a little of what has fans in an uproar. But according to Screen Rant, these trolls and their comments are remnants of the campaign that shredded The Last Jedi apart. For TLJ, people were angry about the female and POC representation, for some reason. And given Captain Marvel is, at the forefront, about feminism in the superhero world, we're sure these same people are angry about it.

With Episode IX and Captain Marvel not even in theaters yet, these hateful people figured they'd get a head start in trying to get the films' "want to see" rating as low as possible on Rotten Tomatoes.

Both films are extremely highly-anticipated this year, so thankfully there is no way the trolling comments could affect the amount the movie actually makes in the box office, or even really the final website's score.

Rotten Tomatoes has since started to remove the toxic comments on both movies, but we know we can't stop all the haters in the world. Can't we just enjoy movies without posting nasty things?

Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8, with Episode IX debuting later on in the year on Dec. 20.
