Sophie Turner recently opened up about why she's okay with co-star Kit Harington making more than her on the wildly successful HBO show they both star on, Game of Thrones.

While we're sure Turner wouldn't excuse an actor making more money than her for no good reason, she cites the extra work he had to do as sufficient to explain why there is a gap in their pay for the show.

"Kit got more money than me, but he had a bigger storyline. And for the last series, he had something crazy like 70 night shoots, and I didn't have that many," the 23-year-old actress said in an interview with Harper's Bazaar. "I was like, 'You know what... you keep that money.'"

According to Eastern Standard, Turner reportedly earned $210,000 per episode, while Harington saw a hefty $710,000.

Turner's explanation as to why the gap is so large seems feasible, but we can't help but wonder why it's so sizable of a difference, if this pay range is true. Sansa's role on the show may not be as prominent as Jon's, but the gap reflects a larger difference in the eyes of producers than we would have originally anticipated. However, it doesn't look like it's a matter of gender. It's reported that Emilia Clarke, Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Peter Dinklage all made the same as Harington.

Game of Thrones returns for the final season on April 14.
