Simon Pegg is no stranger to lending his voice to animated roles in the Star Wars extended universe, but now he wants to take things one step further and appear as a live-action character in The Mandalorian. The first season of The Mandalorian showcased the talents of performers like Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, and Giancarlo Esposito, as well as guest appearances from names like Nick Nolte, Ming-Na Wen, and Bill Burr who added to the star-studded lineup.

As reported by CinemaBlend, Pegg even knows who he wants to play: bounty hunter Dengar, who he previously voiced in Star Wars: Battlefront and The Clone Wars. Pegg also voiced Unkar Plutt, junkboss of Jakku, in The Force Awakens.

When Pegg spoke to Collider about bringing Dengar into the live-action realm, he pointed out another recent casting to demonstrate the possibility for him to appear. "I've mentioned it a few times, but surely, if Taika [Waititi] and [Jon] Favreau decide to bring Dengar into The Mandalorian, then I have some form [of experience] in the past having played him in Star Wars: Battlefront and The Clone Wars," he explained. "So just saying. I heard they just employed Katee Sackhoff to play a character that wasn't in the movies but she played it before in a different Star Wars thing, so just saying."

Considering how great the show's first season was, I think it would be awesome to see Pegg portray Dengar in the future. You can stream season one of The Mandalorian on Disney+ now.
