'Shazam!' Star Zachary Levi Hosting 2019 MTV Movie and TV Awards

MTV will have their own superhero for a night during the MTV Movie and TV Awards, as Shazam!'s Zachary Levi has been chosen to host the show. The network announced the news in a video they posted on their YouTube page, which featured Levi holding up the famous popcorn bucket award.

Levi looks confused in the clip as he says, "oh what?" in a higher-pitched voice. The video is captioned with, "MTV taps Shazam! star Zachary Levi to host the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards on Monday, June 17 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT."

Levi will have to use his superpowers to make this award show the best it's seen. With prior hosts like Justin Timberlake, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and Andy Samberg, Levi has a lot to live up to.

Besides flying onto screens in Shazam!, Levi is known for his work on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Disney's Tangled.
